PROCEDURE
1.Warm up:

Have ss recite the chant on Page 8, Lesson 2

2.Listen and repeat(12’)
Have Ss to look at the book at page 10 and identify the characters in the picture of thes section, and say what these characters are doing. Tell ss that they are going to hear Tom and Linda talking about the picture. Use a poster and two puppets to set up the situation. Play the recording fot ss to listen and mime the question and the answer.
Play the recording once more for ss to repeat each line. Ask them to point to the line in their books as they are listening.
Divide the class into two groups. Have one group repeat Tom’s part and the other group, Linda’s part. Repeat the step, but this time have the groups swap their parts.
Play the recording again for the whole class to repeat each line in the text a few times. Ensure their correct pronunciation (sentence stress, the assimilation of sound and intonation).

3.Look and say.(13’)
Have Ss look at the pictures a, b, c and d on page 10. Ask them to identify the characters in the pictures and their relationship. Tell them that they are going to practise asking and answering about names of these people. Have ss repeat the names of the characters a few times.
Point to Picture a, and ask What’s his name ? Have the class repeat the question. Repeat the question, then answer His name’s John Brown. Have the class repeat the answer. Point to Picture b and ask What’s her name ? and answer Her name’s Kathy Brown.Repeat the step with Picture c, d . Finally, have the whole class repeat all the questions and answers. Check ss’s pronunciation and offer help when necessary.
Have Ss to practice in pairs asking and answering in pairs
Monitor the activity, check the pronunciation ( sound, assimilation of sound and intonation) and offer help when necessary.
Call on some pairs to perform the task at the front of the class. Others observe and comment.
Have the whole class repeat the question and answer in chorus to reinforce their pronunciation.

Play a game: Guessing Game
Divide class into groups( each group 6-10 ss). Ask group to make a circle. A ss in a group is blindfolded standing in the circle.
When the music starts, ss in group walk along the circle. And when the music stops, the ss stop. The ss is blindfolded run into a ss and touch in her/his face or nose to guess who somone is. Later, T or A ss asks:
T: What’s his/her name?
Blindfolded ss: His/Her name’s …
If it’s right, this ss isn’t blindfolded and ss is called the name is blindfolded, and go on…
